Your wedding in Umbria, told as it really was.
You chose Umbria for its hill towns, its olive groves and that golden light an hour before sunset. I live and work here: I know where the light falls, and I'll be in the right place when your day happens.
I photograph weddings quietly. I won't stop the party to line up your guests, and I won't ask you to walk down the aisle twice. What happens, happens once: my job is to be there when it does.
Family portraits still get done, of course. I organise them in ten minutes, so nobody has to chase anyone. The rest of the day stays yours.
How it works
We talk first. A video call, in English, with no commitment. Tell me where, when and what kind of day you have in mind.
The day. I arrive early and stay as long as you need me, moving among your guests without getting in the way.
Your photos. A first selection within a week, so you have something to share straight away. The full edited gallery within four weeks, ready to download in high resolution.
A journey through the green heart of Italy
Medieval hill towns, lakes, waterfalls and festivals, less than two hours from Rome. Quieter than Tuscany, and just as beautiful. Come along.
Marmore Falls
Built by the Romans more than two thousand years ago, it is still one of the tallest waterfalls in Europe. Spray, rainbows and green woods all around.
Lake Piediluco
A few minutes from the falls: still water, mountains and a village on the shore. Perfect for a quiet portrait session at dawn.
Valnerina
Stone villages along the Nera river. In Ferentillo, a whole village comes alive with torches and fire for its historical re-enactment.
Narni
Near the geographic centre of Italy. Every spring the town goes back to the Middle Ages for the Corsa all'Anello: drums, flags and knights.
From above
Seen from a small plane, Umbria is a patchwork of fields, woods, rivers and hill towns.
Orvieto
A cathedral of gold and stone on top of a cliff, and a second town carved into the rock beneath it.
Todi, Assisi, Spoleto, Lake Trasimeno: the journey goes on. Tell me where you are getting married and I'll show you where the light is best.

includedQuestions couples ask
How far ahead should we book?
For May to October, twelve to eighteen months ahead is ideal: the best dates go first. If your wedding is sooner, write anyway, sometimes I still have space.
Where do you work?
All over Umbria: Todi, Orvieto, Assisi, Spoleto, Perugia, Lake Trasimeno and the countryside in between. Southern Tuscany, northern Lazio and Rome on request.
Do you also film?
Yes, I shoot both photo and video. Tell me what you'd like and we'll plan it together.
What if it rains?
We work anyway, and often the best photos come out of it. A grey day means soft light: for a photographer it's a gift, not a problem.
How do we meet if we live abroad?
A video call is enough. If you come to Italy to see venues before the wedding, we can also meet for a coffee.
I reply within 24 hours, in English.
